To our Tumblebus Allstars Families,

In light of Governor Baker’s declaration of a state of emergency yesterday and the World Health Organization’s declaration of a Global Pandemic today, we felt it necessary to address the coronavirus outbreak.

Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world. For Tumblebus Allstars, that means keeping every participant, teacher, and employee safe and healthy with even more vigor than we have done in the past. With that in mind, we have made several moves in our business in response to the threat of the coronavirus. We have ramped up cleaning on the bus, beyond the normal routine of wiping down common surfaces with Clorox wipes. We will continue to sanitize the railing in the stairwell leading into the bus, hand held props, tumbling mats, monkey bars, swinging rings, slides, etc, and as an added precaution, we are closely following the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. Therefore, while we have avoided using more caustic cleaners in the past, we are stepping up our cleaning process by spraying down every single surface, whether or not it has been touched, with the CDC’s recommended diluted bleach solution.

To make a bleach solution, mix:

  • 5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water
    OR

  • 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water

Follow manufacturer’s instructions for application and proper ventilation. Check to ensure the product is not past its expiration date. Never mix household bleach with ammonia or any other cleanser. Unexpired household bleach will be effective against coronaviruses when properly diluted.

In addition to super charging our cleaning process, we are requesting that schools have their students who participate in the Tumblebus wash their hands before they come on the bus, and we are strongly suggesting that they have the children wash their hands after participating as well. Additionally, if you are a parent and are dropping your child(ren) off at school at the same time that Tumblebus Allstars is there, please bring them into the school to have them wash their hands before boarding the bus. Lastly, if your child is exhibiting any of the symptoms of COVID‐19 (listed below), especially a fever, please keep them at home until they can be tested and/or treated and it is safe for them and others to return to the Tumblebus fun. While it may seem abundantly cautious, for the health of your child and the children around them, any student that exhibits symptoms will be returned to the school to have their temperature taken. If he/she is then shown to have an elevated temperature, he/she will be excluded from the Tumblebus until he/she can be tested and/or treated. You will receive a refund for classes missed if your child(ren) test(s) positive for COVID-19.

COVID-19 is associated with such symptoms as:

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath.

The CDC recommends these proven steps to help prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the restroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol‐based hand sanitizer with at least 70 percent alcohol.

We understand the concern that many people feel regarding the possible spread of COVID‐19 and wish to reassure the Tumblebus Allstars community that we are committed to maintaining a safe environment. If you or your little tumbler doesn't feel well, we ask that they stay home. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and do all we can to protect you and your child(ren).

Thank you,

Nate Schur Owner/Operator of Tumblebus Allstars
